Since 1992, Prime Design has been a leader in ergonomic ladder racks and ladder storage solutions for fleet vehicles. All Prime Design products feature patented designs that greatly reduce operator stress and fatigue, reduce the risk of work-related injuries, and increase worker productivity. Telecommunication workers, insurance estimators, general contractors, and other vehicle-based occupations rely on Prime Design to improve productivity and reduce Workers’ Compensation claims.

Client Challenge

Prime Design sells their products through a robust network of national dealers. When they approached Envalo, they lacked an online solution to efficiently quote and fulfill orders. Dealers worked directly with sales representatives to spec and quote complex orders. A customer survey indicated that dealers wanted an online platform that could streamline ordering. Survey responses highlighted the need to display the latest pricing, show order status and display past orders for efficient re-ordering.

Our Solution

Envalo created a B2B eCommerce portal that integrates with Prime Design’s existing back-end system to seamlessly display their full catalog, product status, order status, order history and more. Giving dealers the ability to easily find parts and place an order eliminates back-and-forth with sales reps, allowing them to focus attention on growing new and existing accounts.

Envalo was also able to assist with several operational improvements. Our system automatically updates the eCommerce portal with account-specific pricing discounts and automatically creates orders in SyteLine, Prime Design’s ERP system. As a result, they save time by avoiding highly repetitive processes that many manufacturers face.

Prime Design achieved an enterprise-level solution, leveraging lower-cost, open-source solutions which gives them a significant competitive advantage in their space. Dealer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many impressed by the ease of locating replacement parts and placing orders.
